Business Development Manager

Explore and develop opportunities in the assigned international territory to increase exports and build brand CRISTOL.

Hours/Location: Mon-Fri, 9:00-18:00; Raheja plaza, Andheri (W) – Mumbai
Compensation: To be discussed
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports to: President, Marketing or Regional Manager or as designated
Works with: Business development team
  • Learn about company operations, channels, product range, and details to strengthen acumen.
  • Conduct market surveys and build a comprehensive database for the assigned region.
  • Prepare a 3-year business plan with milestones and targets for the assigned territory.
  • Run mass mailer campaigns for sales promotion.
  • Maintain a database of leads with progress reports.
  • Manage databases for samples, quotations, orders, and invoices.
  • Follow up for payments on due dates.
  • Generate/review monthly intelligence reports for competitor mapping.
  • Participate in budgeting and sales forecasting.
  • Plan periodic travel to visit important customers and attend conferences/exhibitions.
  • Appoint distributors/agents and monitor progress against goals.
  • Develop close relationships with major customers and distributors.
  • Generate quarterly progress reports for review by top management.
  • Coordinate internally for total customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve pre-defined sales targets in the assigned territory.
  • Age 25-35 years.
  • B.Sc./M.Sc./BE (Chemistry) + MBA in sales & marketing.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Pleasing personality with a positive attitude.
  • Good interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Conversant with export-import policy, customs & DGFT Rules, shipping Inco terms, payment options for international business.
  • 3-5 years progressive experience in international business development.
  • Experience in oilfield/specialty chemicals/fine chemicals business preferred.
  • Living in the western suburbs of Mumbai.
  • Well-versed in MS Office; ERP knowledge is an advantage.
