Thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) are a class of copolymers or a physical mix of polymers (usually a plastic and a rubber) which consist of materials with both thermoplastic and elastomeric properties. Thermoplastic elastomers show advantages typical of both rubbery materials and plastic materials. TPEs are used where conventional elastomers cannot provide the range of physical properties needed in the product. These materials find large application in the automotive sector & in household appliances sector.

KAPL has developed a range of antioxidants which are specially designed to maximise the product lifetime by developing properties including heat, colour and processing stability when the product is subjected to extreme conditions and high temperatures.

In many countries CRISTOL TNPP is approved in the manufacture of food packaging materials and is frequently combined with non-toxic Ca / Zn – Stabilisers.

Antioxidants

CRISTOL TNPP Series products are secondary antioxidants / heat stabilizers used in the manufacturing of synthetic rubber such as SBR, E-SBR, PBR, NBR. They enhance the heat, colour and processing stability of the rubber. CRISTOL SP Series are non-staining and non- discoloring general purpose antioxidants for dry rubber and latex compounds.

It finds wide applications in white & light colored latex and rubber applications such as flooring, sports goods, shoe soles, general mechanical goods, carpet backing etc.
