PVC stabilisers are essential compounds which are added in PVC to prevent the chain reaction of decomposition. They can also impart to the PVC enhanced resistance to daylight, weathering and heat ageing and have an important influence on the physical properties and the cost of a formulation.
The main heat stabilisers in a formulation are usually combined with co-stabilisers. CRISTOLTM Phosphites are important co- stabilisers especially in combination with mix-metal stabilisers.
In many countries CRISTOL TNPP is approved in the manufacture of food packaging materials and is frequently combined with non-toxic Ca / Zn – Stabilisers.
