Phenol derived alkoxylates are nonionic surfactants based on the reaction of phenol or alkylphenol with various moles of ethylene oxide or propylene oxide. These include nonylphenol alkoxylate (nonylphenol ethoxylate) and octyl phenol ethoxylates.
Phenol derived ethoxylates have been a workhorse surfactant for many years in a variety industries such as oil & gas, agrochemicals, and industrial cleaning. The ethoxylates act as the wetting agent, solubilizer, detergent, dispersant, emulsifier, and degreaser. In agrochemicals, they are used as surfactants and adjuvants in pesticides products (i.e., herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides and antimicrobials).
KAPL’s product line includes the hydrophobes of phenol and nonylphenol combined with a large range of ethoxylation. As nonylphenol ethoxylate suppliers, our products can serve as emulsifiers for your application.
