World Environment Day (WED) occurring annually on 5th of June has been celebrated since 1974, protecting both ecological and biological life forms within our shared ecosystem. WED has grown to become a global platform for public outreach, raising awareness on emerging environmental issues from marine pollution, human overpopulation, and global warming, to sustainable consumption and wildlife crime.
